REVIEWS :

"This is not for the squeamish. Not only does Italian artist Tisbor assault our senses with the scatological, cum-stained power electronics of Fecalove and his cartoon-like renderings of extreme paraphilia, but he's getting even darker with his other power electronics outfit Taeter, who has recently released a putrid, noxious blast of electronic horror with Absolut Nothing. Taeter's seething power electronics is influenced by both the morbid monotonous pulsations of the Italian death industrial scene and the extreme frequency abuse of classic Whitehouse, and adds his own fetid flavoring of gritty feedback, low-end murk and guttural vocals that sound more like something from an early 90s black metal 7" than the distorted ranting usually found in power electronics. Like Fecalove, this project has a deep infatuation with repulsive sexual imagery and perversion, but where Fecalove revels in hallucinatory scenes of sado-masochistic frenzy and rainbow blasts of body fluids, the subject matter here is darker and more violent. Sound wise, it's a mixture of harsh, skull-scraping feedback abuse and deeper, heavier streams of black electronic putrescence, buzzing bass tones and greasy machine scrape, those demonic vocals hissing behind minimal machinethrob and factory whir, strangely feminine breathing sounds, and rumbling bassy feedback and squealing amps molded into a queasy groove. Some of the tracks sound like a combination of live watersports recordings, sputtering electronic crud, and grim pitch-shifted spoken word, others are full on assaults of black feedback molestation. There are also a couple of "covers" towards the end, the first a version of "I Can't Stand A Bitchy Chick" by the 80s Italian industrial group The Sodality that is transformed into a din of rhythmic metallic percussion and profane utterances, the second a rendition of "Obey" by the Brainbombs that Taeter distorts into a squelchy, rumbling mass of noise. The most extreme track on the disc is saved for the very end, on the fifteen minute "Mine" where piercing high-pitched feedback and fluttering glitch and ominous vocals become an exercise in grueling high frequency sine wave abuse that drills a pinhole straight through your brain matter."

"I guess you could say these are sort of Whitehouse inspired sounds, if not by them, then there’s a few others that will come to mind after a quick listen. This is sonically, as is the case, visually, with the liner notes, dicks hanging out noise, and it isn’t pretty. On the other hand, just because something isn’t pretty doesn’t mean it’s shitty. This is not shitty. It’s great noise with textures and fucked up vocals tricking you into thinking something other that what is being said is said (liner notes are a must for most tracks). And hey, whoever covers a Brainbombs track on their record is A-OK in my filth stained book. Most tracks clock in under 5 minutes which is likely plenty for most, but the last track comes in at about 17:25 (there’s a false ending) minutes of sonic and mental manipulations. Brainbombs, Whitehouse, noise, maybe a little musique concrete, you gettin’ the picture? Recorded in 2008, released in 2010. Limited to 300."

"Overall Rating: A- Composition: B Sounds: A Production Quality: B+ Concept: B Packaging: A- The reason I am unfamiliar with the work of Taeter is because this is the debut release. Spawned off from the main project Fecalove, which I am familiar with and enjoy, this is the first cassette from the perverse mind of Tisbor from Italy. The packaging is very nice, in your standard tape case with a nicely done J-card (grey on baby pink - fetching indeed...) and with six little cards with lyrics on, which is a great little touch. The artwork has plenty of traditional power electronics-esque photography scattered across the cover and cards - plenty of leather gloves and bottles of alcohol. To begin with, the intro track instantly made me feel this is behind the man of Tisbor - it's a silly-sounding jig you'd expect on advertisements or something, and the sounds of orgasms and a woman choking and crying - drawing a line between perversion and irony, as it were, and Fecalove does this kind of thing all the time. I was hoping it wasn't just a project exactly the same as this under a different name, and for something fresh. The second track, Mouth, blasts in with a low end wall of structured noise, with frenzied mic feedback and sloppy modulated grit. The disgusting croaking vocals mixed with this style of noise has instantly grabbed my attention and lets me know that the latter is true. Fresh dirt. As Tisbor spits out the intimidating and obsessive lyrics (digging and playing/your mouth/wet/red), I'm definitely convinced this is some traditional power electronics, which is something I love. The third and final track on side A, Parasite, blows me away. It's a very fucking fierce song, the vocal processing is fantastic - Tisbor's sleazy Italian accent spewing phased shouts as the dry vocal follows over walls of feedback and high end drones, and returning to a chorus. It's without a doubt a patronizing attack on pleasures as well as violation, and the parasitic nature of us all (a museum of failures/your complexion/your waste/wiping cum off the floors). The track continues with a crunching harsh noise bliss for awhile before it's time to turn over the tape. Most truely the highlight. On the flip side, Vocitus, rather than starting with a harsh noise wall, flows with some shifting textures of static as Taeter screeches nihilistic lyrics over the top, reminding me strongly of Atrax Morgue. Something I've noticed with every track is that each set of vocals has been treated differently to the last - it's nice to hear that every track is different. Les Sucettes blasts in, with a harrowing haunting drone reaking of industrial influence forms the basis for this Serge Gainsbourg tribute, churning out the French poet's writings via venomous low pitched vocals over the heavy synths. The next track, Mine ! (Synth Version), evolves using several different drones, and of course, the phaser treated vocals (almost spoken word, not shouted) spit all over the oscillations. It's a sadistic, possessive and insanely self-reasurring display of absolute perversion (it's mine/I made it/I own it/I fuck it/I hit it/I break it). It ends with some heavy synths, before the next track blasts in with a nice tape loop and more synth. Another "synth version", Fairy Doll takes a more subtle turn with the vocals, as they are spoken even more softly, still very low-pitched yet treated differently to every other track thus far, allowing for diversity. I love the lyrics for this one - a detailed tale of cheap sex in a hotel room (cute pink ribbons, an endlessly laced dress/sounds of cars passing by on the motorway/it's so quiet/oh so quiet/cum dripping from your eyes and nose) Filth. The tape ends with the outro, in the same vain as the intro but more sinister, a black ambient atmosphere with a loop of a woman struggling. Overall, this is a very traditional power electronics release but it leaves plenty of room for good composition and execution of sounds. A modern release yet no doubt fit for fans of older, classic power electronics. Fans of perverse aesthetics look within. This leaves a nasty taste in my mouth, anticipating the full length CD. One of my favourite cassettes of 2008!" by Tommuel/Content Nullity
